Externally, we deal with everything from the smallest sole trader business, to the larger limited company audits. Internally, we cover all aspects of management accounts and reporting, including periodic accounts, cash flows and profit projections.

It is our policy to always discuss all accounts and information directly with the client, and any ongoing implications are fully explored to ensure that the business is best able to benefit from that information. Whatever the accountancy requirements, no client is too large or too small.

As with accounts, we cover the taxation requirements for individuals and businesses of any size, from the smallest sole trader or individual’s Self Assessment Return, to advanced corporate tax planning and company CT600s. Tax planning is not the kind of thing we can do retrospectively, and we are always on hand to assist our clients at every stage of their business development, to ensure that the business continues in a most tax efficient manner.

One major headache for any growing business is ensuring that it’s books are properly maintained, whether that be for the purposes of business monitoring and control, or simply for the production of quarterly VAT returns or annual accounts. We are totally flexible in this field, and can tailor our services completely to suit any client’s individual needs.
At it’s most basic level, we can attend the client’s premises, and either work there, or, if preferred, we can bring the accounting records away, and return them, on completion. At the other end of the spectrum, we have clients where we attend their premises on a more regular (usually weekly or monthly) basis to perform a wide variety of accounting and administrative tasks, including bookkeeping, payroll and management reporting. Some of our operatives are so highly trusted and respected within the client companies, that they are even designated signatories on their bank accounts.

Payroll legislation and employee net wage calculations can be a nightmare for any business. Even a single employee will require regular payroll calculations, monthly (or possibly quarterly) returns, and year end P35’s, P60’s etc. We offer a complete payroll service, regardless of numbers of employees, whether weekly or monthly, from as little as £15 per month.

We also run payrolls annually for small company clients with directors only.

All of out staff have at least 5 years experience with Sage accounting and payroll products. This experience makes us ideally situated to assist with any client requirements in the field of Sage computerised accounting and payroll programs, whether this involves setting up the system for the client to operate, or running that system for them on an ongoing basis.

One of our most sought after services is that of the New Business Startup Service, which assists new businesses in all aspects of starting and running a new business, including such questions as; sole trader, partnership or limited company? How should I run my car through the business? Can I pay my partner a salary, and how much? When do I need to register for VAT? Etc. We can also assist with other areas, such as setting up a web site and raising finance for the new business. As company formation agents, we can even form your new limited company for you.

Under current legislation, most new businesses will still find it more beneficial to operate as a limited company, as opposed to on a self employed basis. We are company formation agents, and can perform all tasks involved in forming a new limited company, from checking the availability of the chosen name to forming the company and completing all necessary forms for the appointment of director(s), company secretary etc. All for an all inclusive fee, starting from just £45.

Few accountancy firms are able to provide the level of service, in this field, that we do. Many medium sized firms, especially those that are expanding their business, will benefit significantly from the input of a Financial Director, however, most cannot justify the expense of employing one full time.

We can offer fully qualified, highly experienced consultants to assume that ‘FD’ role to suit your requirements and budget.

This service can be on a one off basis, such as project managing a large financial change, or on an ongoing basis, weekly. monthly or quarterly.
